Recently, we learned from foreign media that Hyundai’s N division, after launching the first all-electric model IONIQ 5 N, plans to create a more entry-level model to lower the entry barrier. However, this model is not the second all-electric model from the N division. According to previous plans, the second all-electric model from the division will be the IONIQ 6 N, expected to be launched in 2025.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N made its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2023. The vehicle features a dual-motor system, with a maximum output power of 610 horsepower and a maximum torque of 740 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. When the N Grin Boost (N driving mode enhancement) function is activated, the vehicle’s output can be instantly increased from 609 horsepower to 650 horsepower and can be maintained for 10 seconds. To meet daily driving range needs, the IONIQ 5 N is equipped with an 84.0kWh large-capacity battery and 800V battery technology, allowing it to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

At this year’s Shanghai Auto Show, Hyundai showcased an all-electric concept car named RN22e, which can be seen as a preview of the IONIQ 6 N. According to previous reports, the new car will be built on the E-GMP electric platform, using a dual-motor system capable of generating a maximum power of 576 horsepower and a maximum torque of 740 Nm, in addition to being equipped with a 77.4kWh battery.
