On February 14th, ZEEKR Intelligent Technology officially launched the world’s first mass-produced 800V lithium iron phosphate fast-charging battery – the “Golden Brick” battery. As ZEEKR first self-developed battery technology, the Golden Brick battery achieves a volume utilization rate of 83.7% and has already entered mass production. The first model to be equipped with this battery will be the ZEEKR 007, which is set to be launched on December 27th. At the same time, ZEEKR officially announced its future plans for energy replenishment construction.

According to ZEEKR official introduction, the Golden Brick battery is the fastest-charging lithium iron phosphate battery in mass production globally, thanks to the 800V architecture and matching 800V ultra-fast charging technology. The battery can achieve a peak charging power of 500kW and a maximum charging rate of 4.5C, resulting in a range increase of over 500km in just 15 minutes within the fast charging range of 10% to 80%. With a volume utilization rate of 83.7%, the Golden Brick battery breaks the limitations of traditional lithium iron phosphate batteries and becomes the highest volume utilization rate power battery for automobiles worldwide. Additionally, the battery incorporates eight major thermal safety protection technologies, ensuring real-time comprehensive safety protection for the battery pack.

ZEEKR latest energy replenishment strategy was also officially announced during the event. ZEEKR aims to build a more comprehensive 800V ultra-fast charging network from the perspectives of layout, technology, and user experience. As of November 30th, ZEEKR has established 401 ZEEKR charging stations covering 100 cities nationwide, providing 2261 charging piles, each with a charging power of over 360kW. By 2024, the total number of ZEEKR charging stations is expected to reach 1000, and by 2026, the total number of charging piles is expected to reach 10,000, achieving the “thousands of stations and tens of thousands of piles” plan.

ZEEKR self-developed global-first 600kW all-liquid-cooled charging pile, ZEEKR V2, was already being deployed a year ago. In September of this year, the ZEEKR V3, the global single-gun with the highest output power, was officially released. The standard smart power sharing technology of the ZEEKR charging station can intelligently allocate power in real time based on the power demand of each vehicle being charged, maximizing the utilization of the power pool, enabling each pile of the charging station to be ultra-fast. In addition, ZEEKR also adopts the integrated output method of the cabinet, connecting the residual amount of the transformer around the station to multiple power cabinets, reducing the site selection restrictions of high-power ultra-fast charging stations. The charging station of ZEEKR V3 can also flexibly match energy storage modules based on site conditions, storing energy during low electricity consumption periods and releasing stored energy during peak hours to relieve pressure on the power grid.

 

Furthermore, focusing on user scenarios, ZEEKR starts from basic vehicle owner data and utilizes big data intelligent site selection models to precisely create the “1515 convenient charging” for users: find a station in 15 minutes, and charge your vehicle in 15 minutes, making charging as convenient as going to a convenience store. Within the next three years, 1515 convenient charging will cover over 90% of ZEEKR vehicle owners and will inexorably approach 100%.

 

In urban areas, ZEEKR layout of 1515 convenient charging ultra-fast charging network will refresh the commuting experience within the city; while in intercity areas, ZEEKR has already cooperated with 35 premium domestic public operators, having integrated over 610,000 high-quality third-party charging piles into the ZEEKR charging map. By 2024, the coverage rate of ZEEKR high-speed road charging piles will increase to over 95%.

 

In order to make the user’s replenishment experience more intelligent and efficient, ZEEKR intelligent charging mode will integrate the whole replenishment process into the vehicle system, from finding a station to completing the charging. Functions such as battery preheating, intelligent pile searching, and intelligent locking reduction will achieve 100% smartphone-free operation, and these functions will be gradually rolled out starting from OS 5.1.

 

At the launch event, ZEEKR also upgraded the home charging scenario by officially listing the 20kW DC home charging pile on the ZEEKR App’s Jiwu Mall, where 100% charging for a 100 kWh battery takes only 5 hours and a 140 kWh battery can be fully charged overnight. With the brand-new 800V model, the self-developed Golden Brick battery, and the thousand stations and tens of thousands of piles of ZEEKR ultra-fast charging replenishment network, ZEEKR users are one step closer to bidding farewell to range anxiety.
